In StockThe Allen-Bradley Compact I/O module with part number 1769-OF4CI is analog output module with embedded Four (4) differential, individually isolated channels. This module has an output current signal of 0-20mA and 4-20 mA with full analog current range of 0-21 mA and 3.2-21 mA respectively. This module belongs to the 1769 Compact I/O system and designed in compatibility with MicroLogix 1500 and CompactLogix controller. This module may also be installed in a remote I/O chassis using DeviceNet communication adapter with part number 1769-ADN or Ethernet Communication adapter with part number 1769-AENTR. Primarily, analog output modules are used to drive Final Control Elements (FCE) or actuators to implement multiple control points. Available data formats are Raw / Proportional data, Engineering unit, Scaled for PID and Percent full range. Configurable channels parameters include output range selection, module inhibition, module description and slot assignment. The module generates a unique data table for each instance of installation where the channel addresses, module mode bits, module state and other runtime parameters.
This module is a low maintenance module. It has auto-calibration that is performed by the module every time the module is power cycled. Additionally, self-test is performed every power cycle. Once the module enters self-test, the module is unresponsive. It will automatically enter active operation, new values is actively compared to the high and low clamp settings to prevent the output from exceeding the defined limits.
The 1769-OF4CI is a Four (4) channel analog current isolated output module classified under the CompactLogix series manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The 1769-OF4CI features 16-bit resolution and supports the Belden 8761 shielded compact analog module cable. The 1769-OF4CI features 330 µ V per bit 0 to 20mA with a 5 Volt DC 165 mA bus current. This unit also features a heat dissipation of 2.0 Watts. It features a conversion rate of 110 milliseconds and a limited voltage per current ratio that is greater than 2.9 milliseconds. The module comes with a resistive load of 0 to 500 Ohms and has an output inductive load rated at 0.1 mH. The 1769-OF4CI comes with electrostatic discharge that can damage integrated circuits or semiconductors. Therefore, when touching the unit, touch a grounded object so as to discharge the static potential. Avoid touching the bus connector or the connector pins and use a static-safe workstation if available. While not in use, the 1769-OF4CI should be kept in the static shield box. The 1769-OF4CI comes with an accuracy of +/-0.35% with an accuracy drift with respect to the temperature of +/-0.0058% FS per degree Celsius. The 1769-OF4CI features +/-0.05% nonlinear and +/-0.005% repeatability. It comes without a specified field calibration and has a module error boundary of about +/-0.55% and an output impedance rated at less than 1 MOhm. The unit also features open and short circuit protection with an output excess voltage protection. It has the ability to maintain its full operational capability at a maximum short circuit current of about 21 mA. The 1769-OF4CI compact current output module has dimensions of 118 by 35 by 87 millimeters (4.65 by 1.38 by 3.43 inches) and a weight of 270 grams (0.60 pounds).
